Gasherbrum II (also known as K4) is the 13th highest mountain on Earth, located on the border of Pakistan - China. Gasherbrum II is the third highest peak of the Gasherbrum massif, located in the Karakoram range. It is the last peak in eight thousand meter ranking, is situated on the North West of Baltoro Glacier, just besides Hidden Peak. Having spectacular neighborhood of K-2, Gasherbrum I, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum IV, Chogolisa and Golden Throne, Gasherbrum II attracts big number of alpinists every year. It is an ideal peak to start high mountain climbing. The climb is not as difficult as Hidden Peak but still considered a worthy experience. Initial climb up to camp I has many crevasses.

The Austrian Karakoram Expedition led by Firtz Moravec made the summit through left Buttress of South Face (normal route) on July 8, 1956. The successful climbers were; Firtz Moravec, Josef Larch, and Hans Willenpart. Reinhold Messner made a historic attempt by continuously traversing both Gasherbrum I and Gasherbrum II with his companion Has Kammerlander in 1984.

            5^th June 2012:-                         Arrive Islamabad. Transfer to hotel for overnight.
            6^th June 2012:-                         Briefing at Alpine Club of Pakistan.
⁷^th June 2012:-                         Fly to Skardu or drive by coach to Chilas.

8^th June 2012:- Skardu preparations/Drive to Skardu.

9^th June 2012:- Drive to Askole.

10^th June 2012:- Trek to Jhula.

11^th June 2012:- Trek to Paiyu.

12^th June 2012:- Trek to Urdokas.

13^th June 2012:- Trek to Concordia and onward to G-2 BC.

14^th June to 15^th July 2012:- Climbing Gasherbrum II.

16^th July 2012:- Trek back to Concordia and onward Urdokas.

17^th July 2012:- Trek back to Jhula.

18^th July 2012:- Trek to Askoli and drive to Skardu.

19^th July 2012:- Fly to Islamabad or drive to Chilas.

20^th July 2012:- Rest day at Islamabad or drive to ISB.

21^st July 2012:- Debriefing and departure from Pakistan.
